The Center for Human Rights Research and Humanitarian Law (CRDH), situated in the heart of the Latin Quarter, is a center dedicated to educational development and to the collection and documentation of research, particularly in the field of international human rights law.

The CRDH is home to students in the University Panthéon-Assas Masters 2 program on law and humanitarian rights. The Masters program is composed of two branches of study, the professional track– which replaced the DESS program in 1995– and the research track, established in 2005.

The CRDH extends upon the 3rd educational cycle. It is a program based upon individual and group research which culminates in a published dissertation. Students, both French and international, work to prepare their doctoral thesis.

The CRDH frequently hosts international colloquia, workshops on current topics of interest, and conferences. Since 2000, the CRDH has published an annual electronic journal on a topic in the field of fundamental human rights. Through the CRDH, groups of young researchers are in touch with an international network composed of various organizations, which fosters an environment of ambitious and lively research.
